The database server I'm using (Atlas) uses an IP address whitelist to accept connections. Any IP addresses that are not listed will not be able to connect. Is it possible to find the public IP address of the webserver so that I may add it to the whitelist?

Unfortunately your website won't necessarily always be running on the same IP address. There are some third-party options for static external IP addresses on this help page.
