Never mind - the dns cname has updated and is working!

I have setup my pythonanywhere web app with a domain name from AWS route53. I have setup the cname correctly as I can access the web app using the domain name. However in the pythonanywhere web console it tells me the current cname for my domain is webredir.vip.gandi.net. Not to sure why this is happening?

As well, this means I can't use the lets encrypt ssl cert as it says, 'It looks like your domain is not pointed at PythonAnywhere. Do you have a CNAME set up? '. I'm assuming this error is linked to the one above.
