I wanted to use Mapnik on Pythonanywhere. I have installed it on my laptop, and I know that installing it can be a bit tricky. Has anybody used Mapnik on Pythonanywhere? Any advice? Python 2.X or Python 3.X? Thanks

What is Mapnik?
Thank you for asking. Mapnik is the core of geospatial visualization & processing. I have installed it on my laptop but it is a bit tricky to do so. I wanted to get some advice before trying any installation on my Pythonanywhere environment. Does anyone has done it?
Hi, we may try to install it in the next system image, but I can't promise.
That would be great! I installed it on Ubuntu 18 and I am able to import it from Python 3.8.5. Any idea when it might happen? There is no rush
We'll contact you, when it's ready.
We've been looking into this today, and unfortunately it doesn't look like we're going to be able to install it. The Python bindings look like they're in a bit of a state of flux at the moment, and it has a hard dependency on there being a specific python
command (unclear which version), so we don't think it's likely to work well in an environment with multiple different versions of Python installed.
