From Django 3.2, we officially have async views. Moreover, many Python-based web applications are using asynchronous code which require asgi support. FastAPI is a popular framework which uses async code. I recently built a video chat web application using Django where the django-channels library requires asgi to specify the WebSocket protocol. But I cannot deploy it anywhere and would love to do it on PythonAnywhere given the simplicity and convenience that it provides.
In short, how far are we from the asgi days in PythonAnywhere?
