I'm a new user and keep getting the following error "notebooks-1.pythonanywhere.com took too long to respond." and haven't been able to open any Jupyter notebooks, not even a blank one.

I can run the Python consoles without any issues, so am baffled by the timeout error for the notebooks?

Edit: Now discovered this only happens on my corporate workstation, so may be related to the firewall , and thus could be a show stopper, and not python__anywhere__

Glad you worked out the underlying problem! Yes, you're probably right -- if your corporate firewall is blocking some ports, then notebooks won't work. Unfortunately we're only Python-Anywhere-with-an-unrestricted-internet-connection :-(
