Hi,

I like the new UI but there is something that I don't understand. When I try to edit a script by clicking on the "edit" icon next to the file, the editor launch but then the console run the script I want to edit before I can do anything else.

I tried to search the forum to find a solution without success.

It's not running the script. If you have already run the script from the editor, and the console that it ran in is still around, the editor will show that console with the last output. It doesn't actually run the script again.

I am having a similar problem. I have an application that contacts my clients and often when I click to edit in the FILES section the script runs. I know because it goes out and contacts my clients when I don't want that to happen.

Is there any way I can safely get into the edit mode and be sure the script will not run until I manually click on Run?

kill your consoles before opening the file. in particular, the consoles with the relevant names
