Using the pythonanywhere instructions with the CName given my site is not showing up yet. It still shows my old website that is with Goddady. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

I had to put the name given by pythonanywhere.com for the point to filed for www. This is found under DNS manager at GoDaddy. Then you have to used forward to the www.domain name so the domain name without www can be resolved. I am still waiting for that portion to complete. Right now you can get two different results for my site. I read it can take up to a day to update.
