Background color of consoles?

Can we change it? Really just a curiosity thing, no way it's a "must have", though I'd certainly do it if I knew how :)

Hmm, there's nothing built in. But someone did do something using the userstyles browser plugin to support larger fonts for presentations, and that looks like it could be pretty easily adapted.

I, too, would like IDE color options. Two that come to mind are Solar Light and Solar Dark. While I know userstyles has been mentioned before, it really isn't the same as a color scheme integrated with the development environment. This would be a nice add and a win for PythonAnywhere.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've upvoted it on our to-do list.

Has there been any progress on this? I find the black background hurts my eyes after a couple of minutes. I can set up SSH access, so it isn't a high priority, but it would be useful. I tried using a couple of different browser plugins but couldn't get it to work.

Other things have been higher priority than this, unfortunately. But I've added an upvote on your behalf, which (if enough other people ask for it) will raise the priority and push it up the queue.

I understand about the priorities; I'm new to PA so just wanted to check I hadn't missed something. Thanks!

No problem!

This is an old thread, but +1, I would like to change the console color theme. (Specifically, I prefer dark text on a light background)

OK, upvote noted :-)

Yes! I vote for light theme for console!!!! That's what I am used to (and editors like emacs seem to default to that).

Thanks! Interesting, half of our users want a dark theme for the editor and the other half want a light theme for consoles :-)

So, a perfect solution: selectable themes (light or dark) for either! :)

OK. Noted

One more vote for the possibility to choose a light theme please :)

Upvoted :-)

did this ever come about? changing the background color

not yet.
