A task that just checks that one file exists and then exits is taking over five minutes to run at the moment. Any idea what the problem is?

The task server is under heavy load at the moment, but we've been working on some infrastructure changes that will allow the service to scale better -- they're in testing at the moment, so we hope to release them sometime in the next few weeks... That should make things a little more normal!
