My files on pythonanywhere are randomly being reset to no characters in them at all. I have no idea why this is happening; as when I run the same programs on my mac, the program works as expected. Has this issue ever happened before? How should I go about solving it?

You will need to check your code for things where you clear a file and then maybe something can go wrong and so it does not repopulate it.
