Hi! I can't get handsontable to work with web2py. I was informed that the web2py plugin is outdated so I gave up with that and tried with the actual version. Not knowing how to install it to python anywhere (and not even wanting to go through the hassle) I decided to go with the "cloud" version. So I did like in this tutorial: http://docs.handsontable.com/0.17.0/tutorial-quick-start.html?_ga=1.129137742.377547658.1440100755#page-install and embedded the library directly from handsontable server. And then I tried the basic initialization with my view:
{{extend 'layout.html'}}
<div id="example"></div>
<script src="http://handsontable.com/dist/handsontable.full.js"></script>
<script>
var data = [
["", "Ford", "Volvo", "Toyota", "Honda"],
["2014", 10, 11, 12, 13],
["2015", 20, 11, 14, 13],
["2016", 30, 15, 12, 13]
];
var container = document.getElementById('example');
var hot = new Handsontable(container, {
data: data,
minSpareRows: 1,
rowHeaders: true,
colHeaders: true,
contextMenu: true
});
</script>
<link rel="stylesheet" media="screen" href="http://handsontable.com/dist/handsontable.full.css">
It doesn't work. No errors, just blank where the table should be. I realized it works on desktop web2py just like it should, so the problem is with pythonanywhere. What can I do?
