Hi the openai module has a requirement of pandas1.2.3 and pandas 1.2.3 is failing to install for me. I tried

pip3.7 install --user openai

which failed stating no matching distribution found for pandas>=1.2.3 (from openai). So I tried manually with:

pip3.7 install --user pandas==1.2.3

Which is giving me the following output:

Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pandas==1.2.3 (from versions: 0.1, 0.2, 0.3.0, 0.4.0, 0.4.1, 0.4.2, 0.4.3, 0.5.0, 0.6.0, 0.6.1, 0

No matching distribution found for pandas==1.2.3

I did succefully install pandas 1.0.0, I was hoping that would then allow the openai install to progress, but alas no, it seems like pandas 1.2.3 is a requirement.

Any tips on how to successfully get openai to install on pythonanywhere with the requirement of pandas 1.2.3?

Any help appreciated, I'm pretty stuck! Cheers Dale

I believe I've already answered you in another thread -- you should upgrade your system image to a newer one, and probably use higher version of Python as well. See: https://help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/ChangingSystemImage/.

For what version of python do you try to install it? pandas 1.4.0 requires python >= 3.8
