I'm also hitting this problem, the form hangs for ~1 minute and then gives the same error as described above.

I found my error. I failed to give the database a name before trying to give it a password. I did not read the form close enough.

I'm getting the same message now . Tried a few times.
What happens if you refresh the "Databases" page? Sometimes if you refresh the page while it's doing its initial setup, you'll get that message a few times while it's waiting for the database to be set up.
