Copy paste in Vi Editor on bash shell works sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't.

do you always have focus on the console when you are doing this?

I can type in the console so shouldn't I have focus on it?

That's strange. We use VIM in a console for much of our work on PythonAnywhere and we've never encountered this. What are the circumstances where it works and where it douesn't?

After two days, I finally figured it out. The cursor has to focused properly. Thanks for your help :-).
