I'd like to download data from http://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov with pymodis library (http://pymodis.fem-environment.eu/scripts/modis_download.html). Unfortunatly all connection are refused when I try to run the script from pythonwhere. If I try to run script by local machine all works fine. Could you help me to understand the error? Thanks in advance gianluca

Free accounts are limited to http(s) access to a whitelist of sites. See here. The notice at the top of the page you mentioned suggests that it's not a candidate for inclusion in the whitelist.
