Does pythonanywhere support pylucene or solr? I am working on a project using opensearchpy, but I'm having a hard time connecting to the AWS OpenSearch domain I created.

Does Python support PyLucene?
No, we do not support either of those. If the protocol that you're using to connect to OpenSearch is not HTTP(S), you will not be able to connect to it from a free account.
