2 webapps with pythonanywhere.com

Hello. I have a custom subscription with 2 web apps. FIrst one is associated with my login (istart2code.pythonanywhere.com). I would like to have second web app located at someaddress.pythonanywhere.com With this goal I changed my subscription to custom, with 2 webapps.

When I start to add a new webapp I see this:

  • "If you don't own a domain, you can use istart2code.pythonanywhere.com or a custom PythonAnywhere subdomain. You don't need to set up a CNAME if you use this type of address." And if you click the link :

  • "Usually custom domain means a domain you own, but we made possible to create custom subdomains based on username. You could name your web whatever-yourusername.pythonanywhere.com and it would work. It's still available to paid accounts only."

So I have a paid account with 2 webapps. However, when I enter someaddress.pythonanywhere.com in "Your own domain" field and click "Next", it returns the following Error/Warnning "The only .pythonanywhere.com address you can register is yourlogin.pythonanywhere.com"

Could you please clarify how I can get it done ?

The error message you see may be slightly confusing -- the important bit is in the second bullet point above:

You could name your web whatever-yourusername.pythonanywhere.com

So, in your case, <whatever>-istart2code.pythonanywhere.com would be valid, since you upgraded your account.
