When I try to create a new notebook or use existing ones I keep getting "The connection was reset" error on my screen.

Are you accessing the site through a firewall, or from behind some kind of proxy? Some systems like that block the special ports that notebooks use to connect, and when that happens you'll see an error page like that one.

Yeah that was it, I was connected through my works VPN, usually am running this on my home PC. Thanks now its working once I disconnected.
